So, how does this work?
A look at a typical process with a new client
1: Free 30-minute consultation
We meet by phone or in person to discuss your business and your needs. This isn’t a sales pitch – it’s an opportunity for me to learn about you and your business and determine if I can be of any help to you. If I’m not the right person to help you – no hard feelings – maybe I can refer you to someone who can help.
2: Exploring “the fit”
This step may occur as part of the free 30-minute consultation or during a follow-up meeting. We will discuss the project in depth, review the process specific to this project (milestones, who needs to approve each step, etc.), and discuss project budget.
3: Written re-cap
I will provide you with a written re-cap of the items we discussed and outline all the terms for the project. The re-cap will include: project scope and objectives, timeline and phases, deliverables, budget and terms and conditions.
4: Sign on the dotted line
After you agree to the terms, all we need is a signature and a deposit to begin the project.
5: The project timeline
This will be determined on an individual project basis, but it usually encompasses approximately three concepts with three rounds of revisions. Anything beyond three rounds of revisions is usually charged at an hourly rate, but this is all negotiated during Step 2.
6: Post-project feedback
I may ask you to fill out a comment form/questionnaire to provide me with feedback on what worked well and what could be improved upon in the future. It’s my way of continuously trying to provide the best customer service possible.
Sound good?
