Design is a profession based on conception: on helping to define an opportunity, then develop a solution that will fulfill it.
You don't have to have all the answers before calling me — I can help you brainstorm ideas and affordable solutions.
On every project, I take a variety of information into consideration: your brand, target audience, project objectives, the multiple layers of copy, photographs, illustrations, charts, graphs, etc — and distill it into a piece that effortlessly communicates your message.
(It's kind of like the everlasting gobstoppers machine from Willy Wonka. You toss in a ton of stuff and end up with a sweet treat.)
The list at right is a sample of the type of projects I can help you with. I can also help you craft headlines and edit copy. (I have a background in graphic design and journalism. Learn more »)
Entrepreneurs: I can directly relate the challenges you face in running your own business. Entrepreneurs wear many hats and can often benefit by handing off one (or more) of their hats to me. Many of my entrepreneurial clients have become good friends, and we often share resources and ideas.
Businesses in the health/wellness industries: I am really passionate about businesses that promote a healthy lifestyle. This includes businesses like: fitness/recreation centers, spas, mental health groups, doctors, holistic health practicioners, etc. I've worked with DePaul Campus Recreation and Erasing the Distance, a nonprofit group whose mission is to shed light on mental illness through theatre.
Small businesses: The more direct access I have to the key decision makers, the more successful the project is. In working with small businesses, I can often work directly with the owner or CEO. These businesses are agile and we can work together to produce dramatic change, very quickly. I love taking a business from discordant DIY materials to a polished, professional look.
In-house design teams: Due to budget constraints, many in-house design teams find themselves in need of an extra body (with a smart brain). I've worked as a freelance team member for a few larger clients, such as the Chicago Cubs, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, United Stationers, and Allscripts. I prefer to work from my office, but I am open to limited on-site work (based on availability).
Call me at (773) 980-9775 or send me an email at hello@daniellebaird.net to schedule a free consultation. We'll chat about your needs and see if we're a good fit for one another.
Take a look at my portfolio and read testimonials from my happy clients. (Did I mention that I have a 100% satisfaction rate?) If you have any questions or concerns, I'm happy to chat with you.
“Having spent over 20 years in Information Technology, I have had a great deal of experience dealing with vendors and service providers across a broad spectrum of industries. I can emphatically state that the times I have had the pleasure of dealing with Danielle, the final product exceeded my expectations and her focus on cost control and timing was never lost. In these tough economic times, finding someone of this caliber is incredibly fortunate as she is able to deliver the highest quality product within any constraints that she is given. I am looking forward to working with her again, as there is no one else with her skills that can deliver an equivalent experience."
